June 22-24 Mountain Photography - The Mountain Scenic and Spring Wildlife
Experience spring in the Canadian Rocky Mountains. Spend 3 days intensively photographing glaciers, wild flowers, lakes, and mountains in spring glory. Photograph Grizzly Bears and other wildlife we come across in this mountain landscape. Learn more about the landscapes you are photographing and how better to photograph them in our daily classes. Share comradery with people who are passionate about photography.
Skill Level: Intermediate to Advanced Amateur
Fitness Level: Standard, able to walk distances of up to 6 km
What's included: June 21- 23rd accommodation, transportation during the course, lunches while in the field.
What's not included: All other meals, gratuities, and taxes.
What You Need: A suggested equipment and gear list will be provided.
Notes: A Minimum of 5 participants are required, and Maximum of 11 participants allowed. We will assume that you have a basic knowledge of exposure and how to use your photo equipment.
Fee: TBA includes hotel June 22 & 23 and some lunches while in the field for the course duration (based on double occupancy)
August 24-26 Alpine Photography - Rocks and Ice

Experience a landscape shaped by glaciers and water. We will spend time hiking in the sub alpine and alpine zone including a hike on a glacier. Spend 3 days intensively photographing glaciers, wild flowers, waterfalls, and mountains high in the alpine zone. We will also photograph wildlife we come across in this mountain landscape. Learn more about the landscapes you are photographing and how better to photograph them in our daily classes. Share comradery with people who are passionate about photography.
Skill Level: Intermediate to Advanced Amateur
Fitness Level: Fit, able to hike distances of 5-7 km including steep grades at altitude.
What's included: August 23- 25th accommodation, transportation during the course, lunches while in the field.
What's not included: All other meals, gratuities, and taxes.

September 21-24 Wildlife Photography - Elk
Experience one of North America's most fascinating natural occurrences - the Elk Rut. Spend four days Photographing Elk as they battle to have the right to mate. We will photograph Elk in two national parks with scenic backdrops. Learn more about the biology of the Elk you are photographing, how to photograph wildlife safely, and wildlife photography techniques in our daily classes. Share comradery with people who are passionate about photography.
Skill Level: Intermediate to Advanced Amateur
Fitness Level: General, able to walk short distances
What's included: September 20 - 24th accommodation, transportation during the course, lunches while in the field.

Banff Photography Seminars:
January 31/09 - Photoshop for photographers ($50 plus tax)
Description: This class is designed for photographers who want to learn how to use Photoshop to get the most out of their images. We will go over the workflow process from capture to printing. We will break down the major parts of the workflow and provide an overview on how best to use them.
Skill Level: Beginner to Intermediate Photoshop users
Fitness Level: N/A
What You Need: Please bring a note taking book and/or your laptop computer.
Times: 10 am - 12 pm and 1 pm - 4 pm
Notes: A handout of the workflow will be given at the class.
February 28 - Getting the Most from your SLR Camera ($50 plus Tax)
Description: This class is designed for photographers who want to get the most out of their adjustable Digital Camera. Get a better understanding of the creative control you can have over your photography through a sound understanding of lenses, shutter speeds, aperture, and on camera flash. Learn more about composition in photography to get more pleasing results with your photographs.

March 21 - Taking your photography to the next step. ($50 plus Tax)
Description: You have been taking pictures for a while and are getting some good pictures, but you are feeling that you need to bring your photography to the next level. This class will concentrate on mastering exposure in difficult light situations, and creative aspects of photography. We will also give you tips to improve your landscape photography, wildlife photography, and macro photography.
Skill Level: Intermediate

Description: Get the best from you mountain photography this year. Get 20 tips to make your Mountain Photography better. Learn about all the latest gear to help your photography and how best to use it. Have a chance to ask your photography questions to professional photographers and photography gear specialists.
